Movie Review: Blue Crush

**Submitted by Kevin

WOW! Great Movie! Kate Bosworth is Hot, the plot is great and the surfing rules.  And I am still thinking about it now.  It is a must see, at least once!  Enough said.

Kate Bosworth's character Anne Marie in "Blue Crush" is on the verge of being one of the few pro female surfers.  She has to overcome her fear and let her skills shine through.  Bosworth with help from her friends Eden (Michelle Rodriguez) and Lena (Sanoe Lake) trains for the big completion.

In the movie it details the sexism and localism of surfing.  There really is no bad guys but there are the attitudes of them.  Of course what kind of end of summer movie wouldn't have some sort of love story in it?  Just like all of them this one has one also.  Matt (Matthew Davis) a NFL football player meets and falls for Anne Marie.  They have their little relationship building throughout the movie, this is mostly for the female fans that don't care to much for the surfing.

Score

9

Anyway, the movie rocked in all areas.  It captivated all audiences and shows surfing true to life (or so I am told).  Jodie Nelson pro surfer says "Hollywood had a bad rap in the past for trying to do surf movies, so I think everyone was nervous about this film. Personally I think that it's the best Hollywood surf flick since 'Big Wednesday.' The thing that I like the most about this film is that it gives people a pretty close look at what we really do out there and it's very inspiring, not only to girls but to everyone."  As you can see it shows the viewer what it is like to be in the pipeline
